plus you told me not to move my queen till later
This game ya just missed too many hanging pieces. When your opponent makes a mistake, take advantage.
yes i see what you mean i had a lot of moves to take pieces - but i chose to keep tight defense instead i was worrying about moves he was making to take my pieces -- but i see what you mean if i had taken just few of those pieces earlier he would have been crippled -- moved the queen to0 early you say - i thought moving behind the frontal line was ok -- wrong i guess - at least i got to move 58 that's pretty good for me i will keep working at this 10 min games thing

Yes, take all those hanging pieces! It limits their options, while increasing your options, because then you control of more squares.
Moving the queen to that location was perfectly fine... behind that front line as you said. My only issue is the queen shouldn't really move until all the knights and bishops are developed first. Moving the queen in that instance didn't greatly improve your position or help control those important center squares. Developing the remaining knight and bishop would have. That's all I meant.
Still, you're development nowadays is looking great. You're creating good opening positions and that's why you have more chances to take those hanging pieces of your opponents. You simply control more squares.
Keep on playing! I believe in the Dokester!
In a few games you developed the knight (which is good) to the side of the board (which is bad). As the saying goes: "Knights on the rim... are dim." Diagram shows why:
black knight controls: b8, c7, c5, b4
white knight controls: e1, g1, h2, h4, g5, e5, d4, d2
Twice as many! That's why knights should be developed to their natural squares - closer to the center.
not going well today thursday lost all games back to 100 - will try centre moves again all players today i am playing are very aggressive and move queen against me very soon will also go back to ten min games from 3 min maybe that will help sometimes it does sometimes it doesn't
also having a bad meds day so maybe i will not play as many games -both sometimes get me down ---very down -- and i brood the rest of morning --getting the rest of xmas tree and ornaments down today -house will back to normal-- maybe a little poker will cheer me up then again maybe not
only bright spot is brother coming over for coffee before his senior mens hockey game to visit ,in a few minutes, he always cheers me up
I was wrong about Queen e7 checkmate. Didn't see bishop protecting it. In any case, decent game.
Wish you'd start with pawn to 4th file instead of 3rd. The chess gods gave us the ability to jump 2 squares forward to start - use it. Control those important center squares. And then defend it with the other middle pawn. It's a solid defensive structure. Then just develop and castle. Game on! Something like this.
the reason i don't move two squares is very time i do they put the queen on my doorstep or a bishop and then i am done trying to defend -- the not moving the queen is working though and now i only move it when i have too -- still win one game lose two seems to be the common thread right now -- will stick to the ten minute games for now though i seem to like the five min better -- but will try to see the end of the day playing ten min games my time is alwasy half of my opponent's - but then you always say i play too fast-- which is true -- i am a impatient old man with time as a issue thanks for the help
Brick after brick in my mind brick after brick place thebric on top of the other brick and mortar place the concrete mix mixture up pix it up OK paper conscience proper brick after brick all mymind is is brick after brick
this afternoon after my nap three games won three games lost - so nowheresville
i do like the brick on brick thing-- just don't quite understand it - do you mean learn a piece by piece move or opening then something else then something else- but it sounds good - maybe after i get a few more games this late afternoon i can ponder that saying
the reason i don't move two squares is very time i do they put the queen on my doorstep or a bishop and then i am done trying to defend
When they bring out queen early - they messed up as we've discussed. Attack that queen (usually with a knight) and make it move again! After they retreat, develop another knight or bishop. They waste tempos moving the queen, while you're getting ahead in the the development race!
This is an illustration of what can happen when they bring out queen too early. By the end, you're already developed and castled. They wasted tempos moving the bishop twice and queen 3 times.
By move 10 you had a MONSTER advantage. Then... you hung too many pieces. I sensed some frustration at the end throwing pieces away. We've all been there.
Keep up that development. That was your best opening of all time! Give 'em hell Doker!
tonight another three losses back to the bottom going to go back to 3 min games for a while see if i can turn the ship around tonight
need to stop for tonight just losing losing no matter who i play and at what game 3/5/10 min games -- glad you can't go lower than 100
maybe tomorrow sat morning i'll have a clearer head - sat morning i usually play a little better i hope
going to try something different tomorrow morning don't know if it will work but somethings got to give
this game was when i was dosing off on my meds not the way i regular play -- please pick one of my regular games where i play defense style
