You used 1 minute and 26 seconds in that whole game. It was a 10 minute game. That is an average of 2.7 seconds per move. What on earth? Just slow down and you'll win all of these..... If you take time and check for hanging pieces and make sure you aren't hanging a piece with your move, you will get much better.....

tried the "solo chess option" and it was fun -- really don't see how that  helps beat some else's strategy  but i am  sure it helped somehow--

thanks neatgreatfire for your observations- after move 12 i went down hill - i didn't see any of those pieces to get---that  you pointed out -- after move 15 the  board just looks like a blur to me--  going to try a timer on each move to slow me down maybe that would help -- they should have a built in timer on the site to use with a beep to let your know when to move -- but that's asking a lot for so little a player

going to try a couple of games  this afternoon ---the meds are starting to kick in so i got about 20 minutes before afternoon nap time

games before nap time where as usual after move 12/13 down hill lost three in row again or as usually----- will be back when i rise in a hour or so from med nap maybe i will play against computer then just the first 15 moves  as least try to hone those moves down

3 minutes and 28 seconds total. It's a 10 minute game. 4 seconds on the move that gave up your queen the first time. 1 second on the move that ignored his hanging queen. 7 seconds on the move that give up your dark squared bishop. 11 seconds on the move that gave up your queen. 8 seconds on the move that gave up your rook. It is a 10 minute game. You are playing it like it is a 10 second game. You have 600 seconds total, which if you are playing a 35 move game averages out to 17 seconds per move. You are barely using any of your time on the moves that give up pieces, or on any other moves. Just use more time, and if you find yourself running out try 15+10. There isn't anything more to learn at your level, so if you refuse to do this you simply will not improve.

its sunday morning -- hope is eternal for a good three games in a row just to get out of 100 basement dweller iam  end the week ona high note maybe -- three seesions today - three games each -- got my scibe notes beside me ---

1-   centre control first

2- knights out before bishops

3- don't even touch that queen till 1&2 are done

4- castling as soon as possible

5 play slower 15 seconds per move at least - see the board as a whole

6- quit game while ahead ---move 15 to 17 is where every game i lose it

ok here we go

Sunday morning results two wins one loss -- played better in first 15 -18 moves - i think  after  that  just got lucky over their worst blunders than my blunders

off to do honey due list ( short list today) but the snow is falling heavy right now so maybe a little plowing is in order in about an hour -- will be back at just before lunch to  try my hand at another three games

I love it! Except for number 6.  By move 15 players should reposition pieces to better squares and make threats - force opponent to solve problems, see if they make mistakes.

Give 'em hell Doker!!! With opening principles memorized, there's no reason you shouldn't go on a big winning streak.

afternoon seesion went not so good two losses one win -- all played poorly -- seems the others guys are just smarter than me and always make less blunders than i do -- - meds kicking in will see you in hour or two  maybe i can get a win or two then

Slow down.  Like Neatgreatfire said - no reason in 10 minute games to move that fast. And it's the only reason ya miss hanging pieces once in a while - yours and theirs.

Going into the games you already have a monster advantage over opponents, just knowing the opening principles (which opponents certainly don't). The ONLY thing missing in your game is seeing hanging pieces. Clean that up and you'll do great.

Give 'em hell Doker! We're all rooting for ya!

This was after you'd said you'd try playing slower.

late sunday night went as expected one win three losses -- getting lot harder even for one win a seesion -- monday morning 100 club again

yes neatgreatfire -- you are right i played all moves too fast -- but i would have not seen those moves anyways -- or would have seen them right after i moved cause usually i premove all my first 15 moves -- -- bad habit i know -- but then but--- no but thens-- i just  played very badly after move 13 maybe 15 for sure no excuses just didn't see the board and missed those pieces -- its always great to see my moves after the fact -- but just it--- its after the fact-- not during the fact--when iam playing i always see my mistakes when reviewed but that doesn't stop me from doing other or the same blunders in a different game

sometimes hopeless sets in since there is no hope in hell getiing out of the basement maybe i should just play till move 15 to  say  move 20 then stop..

who knows - time for bed  meds kicking in

In your case, I suggest playing against a friend over-the-board, but not in a complete game format. In this scenario, you could play a game like usual, but after each move, let your opponent tell you on whether you have made a blunder or not, or why your move is bad. Do not rush your moves - this is intended to let you think through (even if one move ahead only) your opponent's potential responses.

(You hang too many pieces, so this should help you realise the stages where you have to be particularly more careful).

Continue doing this for several games until you see a clear reduction in your blunder rate, and along the way, seek for fewer opinions from your opponents after each passing game.

Gratitude for the small things is key,

thanks for slaveofjesuschrist for the advice -- i will try to find a friend who will do what you say -- that may be hard i have no friends on this site -- but i will again try to play slower after move 13--- reducing my blunder rate may be a hard thing to over come -- but my three sessions today of three games each i will try to improve -  starting now  monday morning fresh day -i feel good considering i had a bad sleep last night  awoke three times hard to get back to sleep -- but  coffee is in hand - and honey due list is done for today -- just meds have to be taken around 10:30 am  today new protocol and they take a 1/2 hour to kick in- so let start
