sunday morning trying to play outside weather is very very good right now till the heat takes over will try another ten min. game this morning see what happens -

well ten min games are just as bad for me as 3 and 5 min games -- just taking longer to see what i have done wrong it doesn't make by playing slower make me play a better move it just shows in longer time element what the other person is going to do to my queen or castle usually the first to go --i really don't understand why most here and i am thankful for all their advice want to play ten min games -- one ten game is one loss for ten minutes or one win where as three three min game maybe two wins one loss--- or two losses one win with a minutues to spare after three ten min games i would get to play a extra 3 min games which could be a win or loss --- hummmmmmmmmm this makes me think which way to go the quailty in my game won't go up playing any min type game - and luck seems to come to me in 3 minutes games more winning and having others make critical mistakes -- where in the ten min games blunders by opponents are fewer and time wins are all by extinct so its more of a one win -- three losses type of setup in ten min games -- where as in 3 min. seems more like 50/50

It takes time to set in it won't look better at first you need to switch from "blitz" mindset to "rapid" mindset

i do see one thing about ten min games i like --- i seem to make to 50 moves or better in each games except when the @diots use that bishop /queen attack then i lose every time after four moves max - but most reasonable and honorable players beat me at the 40/50 60 moves rate which i like

There's nothing wrong with the queen & bishop attack. If you're losing to it repeatedly that means you need to learn how to respond to it. You wont get better without learning.

Why not go back over one of those games where you lost to that tactic and use the analysis function to see what the computer thinks you should've done. Go over it a few timess so that next time you are in the same position you can fight back effectively and maybe win the game.

i have tried that and it seems you need premium status to use it -- i have on occasion tried different defenses against it but then my whole game plan is out the window and i can't recover playing all defensive moves till end of game or i get out smarted which usually happens -- i wonder why when i play the bots they never use that play ever -- why when you play a bot thats out to beat you it doesn't use that to end the game with me ----- just wondering why if it such a good opening that they bots don't use it ??

on another note -- i think i will start using 5 min games seems like i think a little ahead yet have a chance to win on time if my opponent is too slow on his moves see you late tonight

If it works against you it could also work against your opponents

That means you should try t yourself lol maybe youl learn a good response to it

You don't need premium to get some use out of the analysis. Just go into one of your games, press the analysis button (the one at the bottom right) then advance through the game with the ">" (next move) button until you get to the part of the game you want to check. Next look at the top right where you'll see the best 3 next moves according to the computer. You can roll your mouse over them and click on them to see them played out on the board.

As for this distrupting your game plan, well that's chess isn't it? It's not reasonable to expect your opponents to make things easy for you and just allow you to play your favourite opening moves just as you like. Disrupting you is exactly what they should do.

As BigChessplayer says maybe you should start playing it to learn how to deal with it.

well my analysis saids after one game done thats it for the day --- so i don't know what iam doing wrong--

monday morning at 5 min games all losses now back to 100 as usual-- yes i know i should be able to adjust to other players moves -- its just when i play only to be defensive its not what i want to do its just every game they make me be defensive being they are aggressive types -- well since iam at 100 again i can try some odd things for rest of day and i am going back to 3 min games there at least i have a 75/25% loss rate with a chance of winning 1 in 3 instead of it seems 100 % loss rate at other time periods ------------- again thanks for the input .

I know it's hard to do but try to analyze your own games without looking at stockfish try to find out what you did wrong yourself at least for a few minutes (or what you think you said wrong )

every once in a while things go lucky for me --- i just played six a row incredibly bad players who basically let me win their blunders where really something -- i didn't really think there where six worse than me players on chess.com -- makes me worried i was playing bots set up to loses-- for what reason i don't know -- but for me to win six in a row -- thats never happened before to me - it reminds of a another game i play spades for years i have played it online at this site and just recently i released the other players i thought where real people are just bots using names from a data base -- my god what is the world coming to ?????

I mean 100s blunder all the time and hang pieces every other move usually...maybe your just doing something different then you where before

naw just ran into really bad players all at once -- just lost four in row tonight so back to old ways and regular players at 150 to 200 range still over 150 so i will play till i get below 150 then thats it for a while

couple more losses in row done till late tonight when meds have to be taken -- it was great while it lasted 188 but now 100 here we come --- maybe i get lucky and run to another bunch of players who play badly like me tonight

couple wins a couple losses tuesday afternoon still above 150 just barely but still there seems to be right that is 150 is my level rate once i go below that i win once i go above that by too much i lose -- oh well back into the trenches till supper

does it work when i win a game and i have 3 mistakes and 12 blunders -- this has happened quite a few times lately -- where i win a game with so many faults -- yet lose a game with 2 mistakes and 2 blunders -- this concept of mistakes and blunders really evades me is a mistake or blunder when the other person falls for the move or makes an even worse move after your blunder or mistake ????? somebody please enlighten me i am lost on this concept

back to the war here -- maybe i will get to 180 by lunch or 149 either way here we go

100s will blunder every other move(usually not 100% or the time ) if you let them lol just like how you sorta just collapse right out of the opening your opponents typically do the same thing

well near lunch time and 50 /50 play over 180 but just getting to 200 maybe after lunch mind the players are much better at 175 and up then 175 and down for me that is -- yea about that collapsing thing you talk about -- what i am doing major wrong from move 8 on ?????

well tried a new opening from the forums today--- six times against bots low bots too -never worked once -- tried it against players never worked once -- it shows how its works in forums but thats only when the player does exactly what you want to play -- not what they usually do - off to lunch now a little late but new meds require it -- back after --
