well, the chess.com forums should be a place where free flowing conversation is held, no belittling of people and no blocking people from discussion, this is how it always was

First dont call me slimy, second, you were the creator of the rude behaviour on this forum, and third, my pfp is from a video game, not a weird cult religion

This explains why Englishmen get sunburned so easily... very thin skin.

If you're going to generalise about all us limeys, howabout all Americans are transgender and crap in the streets in CA or are bible belts thickos elsewhere...or can't recognise 9/11 as an inside job or realise they have had a geriatric puppet imposed on them...

but yeah, my fellow Brit, assuming he isn't an homsexual, brolly welding, bucktoothed etc etc should just block....

Somebody called me a “Gay *****”

He was losing.

OP just disable messages in your settings, as previously said at post # 5 . By doing this you can avoid these sort of comments, from these egotistical dummies .

Imagine losing then calling someone bad. Why do you think you’re the one that lost lmao. Luckily my account is fresh, so I haven’t come across this type of person yet, but when you play fighting games there are tons of people like that, you just gotta report, and either block or ignore them. Or disable messages like post #5 said.

What wrong with him calling you gay. You are implying thats an insult. Why is that an insult? Is there something wrong with being gay ?

I mean, to most people that’s an insult because they aren’t gay. Not that there’s anything wrong with being gay, btw.

yes, if you play a lot of games (shorter ones) you come across such people. You can´t prevent it. Three things to do! Disable the chat, put the thumb down and ban the person (so he/she will never disturb you) and, if necessary, report them. Don´t get angry, don´t waste time answering, just play the best chess you can. Such people are absolutely not worth any attention!

Last half a year I only play daily games and nothing like that happens. That is nice!

  • How do you report a possible cheater may I ask, thank you upfront.

Click on their name, then click the little exclamation point icon, and then press “cheating.” There’s a box for optional extra information I believe.

No problem

Archaja, how do you report someone directly sir?

Ok, I've done as instructed. We'll see whether my suspicions hold any merit to the point it is incontrovertible. I know it's not an exact science, but this was ringing alarm bells after analysis. It was like I was playing alpha zero in unorthodox lines from what should have been a theoretical game.

Have a look at his account, especially when you receive a message vom chess.com where they thank you for informing them. They don´t tell names, but....

rickpassmore

ok

Thank you for directing me, they took action and it appears he had cheated. Much regards.

THAT was quick!

There was one guy who was not only cursing at me, but there was a draw chance he had to take my queen the next move, but he wanted to win so he made me wait for the whole match
