Sadly i agree with everything, player here can't accept loses, they just "use all their time" when they are gonna get mated or down too much material, and in some cases people just started to curse me and israel just because i had beaten them in a chess game, A CHESS GAME!

What the hell is going on, cursing on israel !!! what's the point of that, really strange..

In post #17, I'm assuming your refering to public computers at libraries and colleges? I know you can't use goverment computers to play chess.

Public computers, yes, and any families that all use the same internet connection.  A family of 4 might each have their own chess.com accounts, and maybe the teenaged son (unknown to the other 3 members) is one of the real jerks on chess.com.  But if the IP got blocked the other 3 innocent members' accounts would be blocked too.

Many of the people here who like to play bullet and five minute chess are very young. They have not yet learned good manners. Give them time.

If you simply can't stomache rudeness, play games with a two/three day time limit. In over a year's play here I have encountered zero rude behaviour from opponents on those time controls.

Yeah, it pretty much blows.  When they banned Swetnika's IP--I think he got banned for being funny--I wasn't able to play chess with his son anymore.  Kid needs to move out of the damn house anyway, I guess.

A pox on funny people!  Society's bane.  Can't trust any of them.

Cystem gets points for being Shakespearean.

Thanks, I'll try to be more careful in the future.

Wierd, I have never encountered a rude player on chess.com in the 2 years I have been playing here. Maybe I have to play more games.

In comparison to another chess site i played on (i would not mention which one), my first game there ended up with my opponent publicly insulting me on the forum.

Is it yahoo chess?

I have met several rude players on here. One guy dropped a whole rook and called me a cheater... (and continued to rant for several lines). A couple of people have just blown their cool because they screwed something up.  Their fault, and then they explode at me?! Makes no sense.  It was all just blitz - why not just play again?

I recommend you start the chat in future games with....

Hello... u wanna resign ??

There is an auto-disable chat option (except for friends) in your live games settings. When I joined this site a few years ago I quickly learnt that this is the only way to overcome the issue. I ticked the box and have never looked back...

In my time on here (two months) I've met one rude person who abused me when I beat them, and many polite, friendly opponents, including one who offered me a draw when they were K & R to my K and then chatted and offered me helpful advice rather than just finishing me off.

Based on other things I've read here, I also now accept rematch requests if a) I won the first, and b) I was white in the first game.

I'll certainly chat and praise people when they outplay me.

All in all, it's a site I'm happy to spend time on.

@Itude - if i was the commander of the "brigade" i would say something even MORE clever like, "build a bridge and get over it" Laughing
