I played postal chess for years. I was in Alaska, before it was a state and playing postal chess. I remember it was almost always the highlight of my day to look in the mail box to see if there were postcards with chess moves. Always hoped to receive what I expected in moves and if someone played a move unexpected--I would hurry to my postal album to ponder.
I would have been in 7th Heaven to be able to use the internet and to have available all these chess resources.

Sorry, I've heard this before, just couldn't believe it still occurred.
Maybe the envelopes contains "sweet nothings" or they would like to seal their moves with a kiss.
