I realize that I am completely new to chess, and that I’ll have to study for a year just to get to ‘Patzer’, but... I was under the impression that one can not castle through a square that their opponent is attacking, No? How could my opponent long castle on move 14 0-0-0?

I'm sure I'm wrong, but could someone be kind enough to explain to me how this is possible so I can plan accordingly in the future. Thanks.

it is the king that may not move through an attacked square. In this case here the rook move over the attacked square and that is ok.
