Rybka 2.3 32 bit

I don't know. If you want the strongest free engine get Houdini, which is stronger than even the not-free Rybka 4 (and any other engine besides Houdini 2).

Well for training purposes, how strong do you need an engine to be? 99.9% of the time we will lose. I think the strength think is hype for us to buy the product. I was interested because some sources says 2900 and others 3012. That being said I realize that they can be helpful training tools.

Rybka 2.3.1 Arena on a 256MB Athlon 1200 MHz machine is rated 2950 according to the latest SSDF rating list published Nov 5, 2011. Deep Rybka 4 x64 2GB Q6600 2.4 Ghz leads the top of the list with a 3216 rating.

Off topic, but why doesn't that list include Houdini anywhere?

Every list that does include Houdini has it at the top, for example:

etc. Just curious.
Can anyone tell me the estimated strength of Rybka 2.3 free edition? I am using it for training for upcoming tournament play and was just curious.
