Scid for mac - Help!

Hi,

In Scid for mac there is an annoying feature which only allows you to make moves 'it' recommends. This is annoying, as i'm trying to input a game for analysis, and it just won't let me castle queenside! I've tried many different ways, and it just isn't liking it!

Does anyone know of a way to turn this off, or even to enable drag and drop?

Thanks

Well, I dont know how different it is from regular SCID, but are you sure you dont have some sort of training mode on?

There's a check box in the tree window for training, is that unchecked?

Maybe you're inadvertently playing through an existing game. Are you sure you're in a new game? You can start a new game by going to Game/New game in the menu and/or switch to the clipbase. And in windows drag & drop is on by default.

It seems you did not really get a reply, so here I go: use the submenu Options->Moves and make sure that "Show suggested moves" is not checked. Now click on the starting square, then on the ending square, done. Or drag-and-drop -- it works fine, as long as the "Show suggested moves" is turned off.
