Yasser was more than just a GM. He was a WCC candidate and one of the top 30 players of all time.

I was with you until the last two words.  I figured you were going to say something reasonable like "one of the top 30 players of the 1980s" or "of American chess."  But top 30 of all time? I think that would give even Yasser the giggles.

Just to make sure I wasn't misremembering, I did some spot checking on Fide rating lists of the late 80s and early 90s, and I didn't spot any where he's above #10 in the world (could have missed it though.)   More typically, he was 15-20 or so.  That makes you a great player but hardly top 30 ever.

I was binge watching Yasser telling stories after I put that meme on there. He's got a lot of good ones.
