Higher ratings in slower time controls can be simply explained by the fact that some people need time to think and can play better without time pressure.

Even if you enjoy bullet , you cannot get it's rating up by 700 points above your skill , unless you are a thug.
I agree that bullet doesn't have a lot to do with chess. But no need to disrespect people for being good at that. There are people who are good at computer games and some are good at bullet... As long as they don't claim to be great chess players, I don't see the problem...

I haven't included them in my criticism . I see players being 600-700 blitz after around 3000 games and 1400+ bullet after a similar game span. This is ridiculous.
Different people are good at different things. If you’re not fast enough for bullet then that’s your own fault. “No respect” and “thug” is a little overboard. Bullet requires thinking on your feet and being fast, and doesn’t ONLY rely on a fast mouse.

So true. I have a slow mouse but I have good good flagging skills. But still I lose because of my not so fast WiFi and slow mouse

lol. my bullet is a little higher than my rapid. but for the simple reason that i dont play rapid on chess.com. i play my rapid games on other platforms or OTB
Think of it like this. If a bullet player came up to you and said “you play rapid so much, you must be dumb. You need so much time to think whereas I can think fast on my feet and spot a good move within a second.” That’s basically what you’re doing. Different people are suited for different things, and different types of chess.
1. Please acquaint yourself with the definition of thug.
2. This is a lot of upset over a game you don’t have to play and players with which you’ve no need to compete.

so I somehow fit on a thug side I think.. I'm 700 in bullet ( which is low) and only at 400 in rapid and blitz
It's just 300
