I have a question for you: what is the shortest possible chess game? I predict the first five answers to be wrong, but let's see...

Whites forfeits/loses on time without making a move at all.  :P

Barring things like forfeiting/time/etc.

Eh? Check around.  You will find that what I suggested has happened several times in tournaments - including game 2 of the 1972 World Championship match between Fischer and Spassky.
