Ok so...

The previous thread got locked because a friend of mine just wanted the smoke. (See the beef at https://www.chess.com/forum/view/community/should-chess-com-give-out-birthday-gifts?page=1)

Now, any insults that I see unfit will get reported. This forum is for the sole purpose of debate, not insults.

Finally, a few people mentioned the fact that the subscription is unrealistic. I now think that it should just be a week of subscription, or game review for a month. Any thoughts?

I think it would be better if the gifts were given out on chess.com's birthday instead of the player's birthdays to keep things consistent if they do decide to add it. Otherwise, there is already a happy anniversary feature where you get a special badge each year on the day you made your account. The gift on the chess.com birthday could be something like a free chess course (similar to the short and sweet openings on chessable) or something like free chess puzzles for one day. It's an interesting idea, and hard to think of ways to abuse but is still highly unlikely

Fianchetto, that is possibly the best reply I have ever got! (Sourskittles, please keep it cool, I don't want my forum getting blocked again)
