Should I just quit?

After nearly 80 games I'm still stuck under 150 elo. I can't even break 150. I keep getting destroyed every time. I am not getting better whatsoever. I think I'm genuinely too stupid to play this game with even the worst of players. I'm 1-9 in my last ten games. It's ridiculous how stupid I am. I highly doubt any decent player ever had this much trouble even when they were beginning, I try to blunder check, I try to think multiple steps ahead, it doesn't matter. I just end up in a losing position every time.

Chess isn’t about intelligence. You can improve at chess the same way you improve any other skills. You learn and practice. 80 games sounds like a lot, but it’s really not that much in the grand scheme of things. Be optimistic :)

Here’s a blog post I wrote years ago, but it also includes a ton of chess resources at the bottom of the page too: https://www.chess.com/blog/KeSetoKaiba/opening-principles-again

#2. Oh really? I thought chess was all about intelligence. Am I missing something here? 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

I played most of my games without intelligence

#1, 80 games are nothing. Play more. You'll get better eventually.

I checked your several games. Learn basic opening principles. Your play will dramatically be improved.
