Should white castle king side or queen side in this position?

I played this game today, and the computer suggest a king side castle (I see why because the knight can fork the two rooks (also my opponent did not see they could do this, so I got lucky their and I will be more careful next time) but anyway, I mistakenly castled queen side because I thought that it was safer since my king was less exposed that way) but, I was wondering if I had castled king side, what would have been the best way to protect against an attack since it was kind of exposed?)

for context on why the pawn structure in front of my king was broken up, here’s a link to the game;

(for those of you that looked at the game, the reason I slided the bishop back was so I could create a open file for my rook but and the computer says that it was a good move but let me know if you think otherwise, any other advice on the game would be appreciated) also this game was played on another account and I resigned because I thought I made a mouse slip but it was just lag on my computer since I had terrible connection)

anyway, sorry this is long!

Castling king's side O-O is nearly always better than castling queen's side O-O-O, because the king is safer at g1 than at c1 and because it does not need a premature queen move to prepare. The exceptions are when you want to attack h2-h4-h5 with support of Rh1 at its initial square or g2-g4-g5 with support of Rg1.
