Well, of course it all depends upon the position.  Which is only one reason why these sorts of generalized questions aren't much use.

Speaking of positional play, I heard there was a story about Fischer following his World Champoinship match with Spassky that Larry King interviewed him. The exchange was something like:

LK: Bobby, what your favorite position to be in while playing against Spassky?

BF: Larry, I would have to say the WOW position in the last match.

LK: What is the WOW position?

BF: That was where I turned MOM upside down.
