Shouldn't this be checkmate?

I am playing black and I belive white checkmated me, but the system did not say it was. I am aware I was in a very bad position and I probbly should have resigned long before I did. But why would it not have been delcared a checkmate. I have an explaination on the board.

 NO you cannot , also you can only castle if NONE of the squares that you have to complete your castleing maneover are under attack, kingside or queenside !

Only the squares that the king moves through though. In other words, you can still castle queenside if b1 or b8 is attacked.

Well, yeah, but that wasn't the question.  The question was why the given position wasn't already checkmate, to which the answer is that a piece can block the check.

I know you won't believe this after all those wrong answers, but bishop to e6 blocks the check.

I think you're all wrong. Be6 blocks the bishop and castles the pawn.
