Stuff Non-Chess Players Say

^Classic and bad at the same time. My English teacher was like " if only one person survives on an island who would It be?" And I was like " this isn't hunger games" and the teacher laughed

My English teacher has NO sense of humor!

Fish_Ninja

Chess?  That shite's boring.

camberfoil

I agree. Chest is like watching farking grass grow!

I recently read Lord of the Flies. It was awful.

Of course it's awful. You're supposed to read Flies of the Board.  That one is epic!

(All kidding aside, I hope you can tell which legends/books we're fooling around with)

I have a little bit of an accent due to my hearing aids. (People say it's British, but I've never been to England in my life.) But anyways, due to my accent, I always say chest because id I say chess, people think I've said sex. So the conversation goes like this if i say chess.

Me: I'm going to go practice chess with *insert name of fellow student*

Others: Sex?

Me: -.-

C-H-E-S-S

That conversation goes from chess player to pedo faster than anyone could imagine...

Anyway, it's good that you have found away to prevent the conversation from going south as mentioned :P

Pedo?

I'm not going to look that word up. But ya, it's a good thing. I don't get why people think that instantly. I even mentioned this site (www.chess.com) and guess what they heard.

This is why I hang out with girls more than guys. Girls tend to *coughcoughexceptthosefewthatiwon'tmentioncoughcough* not be perverts. well, at least where I'm at.

I know that will look like bla bla bla to some peeps.

Looks to me like that you want to read literature, and feel ashamed that an avid reader like yourself hasn't read more classic books. Is this correct.

Yeah, I would like to be an avid reader and I'd like to have read classics. Neither of which I have accomplished. lol. But (like every other New Year's resolution someone makes...) I'd like to read more this year. It remains to be seen if that'll happen! =P

Sweet! Yeah, just a couple more years for a Master's, too. But on the (very) bright side, I'll be at a different university so I'll have a new environment and such. I won't go crazy in other words. Lol :)

There's a bank company called Rabobank. I saw one of their buildings in Bakersfield, CA. Ridiculous name for a bank!
