Have you sold yourself out to advertisers?!?!? Dragonair, I can't say I'm not disappointed in you. 
I like the look of that Magnus chess set. Though I prefer my pro-tourney set, this one seems perfect for "coffee house" chess.

This is what happens after I convince my sister to play chess with me:
My sister (in a whiny voice): "Why do you get to go fiiiiirst? I want to go fiiiiiirst! Your supposed to let the youngest person go fiiiiiirst."
Me: "Wrong. That's not in chess; I get to go first because I'm the white side."
My sister: " Thaaaaaat's not fair you didnt tell me let me go first your supposed to tell me first can we play checkers instead?"

lol, buy ya, I'm lucky with those I teach.
I have a person with a weak opening but very strong middle game (for a beginner)
and I have a person with a good overall game. I'm going to pair them up soon and see who is the better player. Any bets here?

Hmmmm, maybe the one with the very strong middle game because of the word "very"!! 
I said for a beginner. Doesn't mean I can't kill his middle game with ease. :/

Today was our club's last meeting of the academic year :'( And the last meeting ever for me cause I'm graduating in 2 weeks -- ahhhh!!! But we have a casual get together this Sunday, so I hope it'll be fun!! We're bringing a few chess sets to a local pizzeria. Yum yum...

Why do you always start with White?
I hate it when people say that chess is "racist" or "religiously discriminatory" because white goes first and because the king has a cross on his head.. Racism is a very serious issue, and I must curb the desire to throw punches when people accuse chess of being such.
