Speaking of the Kingside restaurant, maybe thay have entrees made with skewers or, if you go on a Dutch date, you get a double check. Or.................the house special is Fried Liver!!

Nice names you came up with, which somehow reminds me, I saw a beverage menu with chess themed names.

LOL.......

I hope this is ok with you, dragonair234, but it is my duty to say this to all players whose username is based on pokemon.

"A WILD DRAGONAIR HAS APPEARED!"

Ahh, yes that star.  It is indeed new.  One of my friends, and a fellow admin on a group, Jamie, gave me the star in order to better help with the group.

I love it.  :)

Got my first clock few days back, people at my school simply flock to see it. Some disturbers who previously tried to take away pieces and got thrashed now simply press the clock and hurry away. Very annoying as I like 3/2 best and my opponent gets a free 2 sec.

Some players are actually so habituated with taking up 10 minutes on one move that they panic and play atleast 20 illegals in one game.

Once it happened, we were playing 1/0 (crowd's vote, never mine) and opponent was at 10 sec disadvantage. Blundered. He took my rook, I retook with a bishop.  He took my bishop with another rook and I took his last rook with my last rook. We were just placing the pieces and pressing the clock aggressively. In this not-SO-confusing incident, after the captures my opponent simply removed all pieces from that square, including my rook which was to be remaining and the bishop fell to the ground accidentally. This left him pickin the bishop and me furiously shouting "WHERE IS MY ROOK! WHERE ON EARTH IS MY ROOK!!!".

Anyone who intentionally sets out to mess up a chess clock is really comitting a crime! They obviously don't understand. It's not like they'd run out in a football field and steal the football (lol), so why should they impede on a chess game by touching the clock. As for the rook incident, seems like there was some weird mischief going on there, and I wouldn't play that same opponent again.

My friend took a car trip to Canada with her family, and while she was there she saw life-size chess sets. She sent the pics to me and said it reminded her of me. Awwwwwwwwwwww! You know you've got a good friend when they always remember to share chess-related things with you, even if they're underwhelming. I still think life-size chess is cool....
