Somehow, I played 3-2 against a guy rated 1700. I was playing on 5 min, He had 1 min 30 sec. I won 2 on time, and completely out-played him the last match. Feels good when they play Bc4 against Sicilian hoping to score off easy wins, only to have it blocked by e6.

I brought up Twitch and chess at chess club, and they laughed at me. What, it's real! Sometimes there's live chess analysis on Twitch. GM Nakamura did it. GM Chirila did it. Etc.

Long Time No See Fellas. Was playing bughouse the other day, and I turtled and I called it the impenetrable defense and 10 minutesd later (We set the timer to 30 minutes) I had 4 pieces left on the board, and the opponent only had a king left.
Result: Won with 4 seconds left on the clock
I have never played bughouse. I think I'll give it a shot.

This evening, I'm going to be playing against some weaker opponents. So, to give them an advantage, we agreed on giving 10 minutes on their clock and 1.5 minutes on mine with 2 second increments. Plus, they choose their color. This should be interesting.
I think they will choose white
I've honestly had to explain to a few people that the white pieces must move first. There's no chivalry or friendliness involved. The rules are that the white pieces move first!
