I've met GM Timur on a few occasions and he's a really nice guy! He's just beaten the world record for simul blindfold chess games. (His specialty is blindfold chess...) 
I also know, as an acquaintance, one of the guys who played against him at the event. He's nice too! If anyone's interested:

Guys, someone saw my chess bag and asked me, "What instrument do you play?" lol (that's actually happened to me more than once) And when I said "It's a chess set" I had to clarify, "The game.. chess..." and they said, "Oh! Chess!" Yep. Real conversation.
