Which book would you recommend to learn the Sicilian Defence?

just about the best chess book ive read full stop was how to play the sicilian defence by david levy and kevin oconnell, published by batsford in early eighties. I bought it again recently second hand so you can still pick it up. very, very clear.

I think it is still possible to buy that from USCF Sales. If one wants a more modern (2009) book, I suppose that one might try Starting Out: The Sicilian by John Emms.

The Sicilian has become such a large subject, that it has become pretty rare to encounter a book that attempts to deal with the whole thing. These days, it seems that individual Sicilian books tend to focus on just one aspect of the subject. Whether one is thinking from the White or the Black point of view, one is probably going to want to specialize sooner or later.
