Most of the people I've met here and played against have been good sports who love the game. It's just one guy who wanted to be a c0*k holster when I challenged him to a rematch. He was a decent player. I wanted to see what I could learn from him. I did learn one thing: chess players can be dicks too.

Now come on, of course know you that there are people who love to elbow the weak. But there are also those who are just that knowledgeable, that there words have force. It doesn't matter where good advice comes from; if it can help you--use it. Peace.
There are a lot of people on the Internet who seem to enjoy being obnoxious to people who they see as inferior. I guess it's something like a playground bully but you don't have to be any bigger than the other kids.
It can be bothersome, but I don't think you should let it stop you from asking questions that you want an answer to.
Hi all. I have found a love of this great game. I also realize that I know much less about it than I thought. Close to nothing when you get down to it. The only openong name I know is the Queens Gambit. That is OK. I have a willingness to learn. My topic is questions. I have posted some, right here. Most of the responses i recieve are from players with a desire to share what they have learned.For this I am grateful. Definitely(Thanks players). But there seem to be a number of people who talk down to those of us with less knowledge. My question is this- Is not this forum a place to get answers to questions? I have learned much from you guys(and ladies of course) who have taken your time to answer me. Does anyone else ever expierence this? ZLH.
