simuls no longer allowed?

Can't wait for 4 days from now when I'll load up the elite leaderboard and point out people are playing simuls without chess.com doing anything about it.

But who knows, maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised.

People are promoted (or not) on Sundays, yes.

I don't know what that has to do with what I said.

Isn’t that just sandbagging

Yeah, the first three things on their list are a bit redundant "throwing games, lowering your rating, sandbagging" are pretty much the same.

But I guess they're trying to cover every little detail. Like someone might say they weren't sandbagging, they were using a system of playing at full strength for 1 hour, then at half strength for 1 hour to conserve their energy... some dumb excuse like this that superficially makes sense.

It also covers things like giving higher rated players quick wins so you'll get paired with someone easier the next game, which won't really count as sandbagging exactly.

I'm hopeful the technical solution is in place by then.

As they say, an ounce of prevention...

Maybe hire a single person who knows about the features of the site instead of discovering simuls exist a few weeks before the $50,000 competition ends.
