smart or dumb

Well my math skills isnt that good in my opinion and yet i seem to have a good grasp of chess for some reason. Yet my friend who is better at maths is weaker at chess then me. So to my mind it doesnt seem to make any major difference that i can tell anyway....

Anyways back on topic, I recently read somewhere that the only true prodigies are in music, mathematics, and chess.  It is generally understood that mathematics and music are linked in some way.  I think it can be theorized that chess is linked to those two as well.

 I play music and I'm ten years old. My rating is 1444 so that must mean they are linked.

By that sentence you have already demonstrated your logic skill to me.

All the top people where I play are good at maths!Anyway there must be a link in there somewhere.

Chess is beyond mathematics, except for computers because they use an algorithm or something mathematical.
