My new ambition is to tie. Now there's a challenge; play for a draw rate of 90% out of 2000 games. Now you're no longer a loser, you're a drawer. Whoopii! ;)

That... is probably hardest of all. You can get 90% wins if you only play against patzers, and 90% losses if you only play against the highest-rated of all (if players in either group accept challenges with such a big rating difference). But to get 90% draws, you'd have to stay on top of things so you don't accidentally lose, yet make sure your opponent doesn't resign (unless you tell them about your ambitions, but that would be cheating).

HEY! Don't get all analytical when I'm being ironic, man :D

Sorry... I just suddenly got intrigued about the whole prospect of draw hunting. Too bad that multiple accounts is cheating, or I'd make a new one called "DrawHunter" and try to go for 100% draws. Maybe another site...

But do carry on with the irony. Laughing

Vleerkens

Hmmm..., the temptation is there to show ya all again that i can play !!! But still i can avoid that... (how long ???). Ya put me under pressure... ... ...

... OR..!!

We could play each other to accomplish this common goal - discussiong topics such as "best draw move from this hopelessly winning position", "where can I place the king now, eh?" and I dunno... :)

Bongcloud Opening, Drawing Variation:

This variation, also known as the Symmetrical Variation, will force a draw, although most black players faced with the Bongcloud usually are so intimidated that they'll do something stupid like develop their pieces, which inevitably leads to a loss.

I'm Losing all day... and it feels delicious... What a feelin !!!

Ratings & points mean nothing to me ! People have to learn handling loosing !

However, by deliberatly losing you are not learning to handle 'how to lose'.

Vleerkens

Yer right, Blackadder. But just to loose... is everything !!!

I can't decide if this thread is ironic, idiotic, moronic or chronic (sic)

But if this is the quality of thread then I'm in the right place Laughing

To join groups i had to play 5 games. Well as ya all know me... i want to loose those games. I did win 1 game, because sometimes ya have to make somethings clear !

So... now i can join groups who want to loose everything what there is to loose. Not because i'm not able to win, nó ! Just because i wànt to loose !
Do ya want me to join ya ? Do ya invite me ? Well, mark & remember this writings from me !

If My history is correct, there was a very bitter WWII battle fought  near Antwerpen Belgium!?  Winning was a must for both sides.  Fortunately the good guys wanted to "win", and turn back the Germans, would think some of this would rub off on you?

Chess is and to me a combatant game, two armies of equal strength addressing each other, given your personality, this may not be the correct game for you. I would think you would be hard pressed to find opponents to play if they knew you only wanted to lose!  There was a game called "Sorry", lolo

Vleerkens

Actually this all is not about just losing a chessgame, but it goes far deeper. A chessgame is just one of the means to let people see that losing is magnificent !
Unfortunelately, there is just a minority who is able to understand what i really mean...

If you succeed in what you do then you are winning and you seem to think that losing is winning so if you lose then you win. So actually you are winning and losing at the same time which doesn't achieve anything which means you don't quite understand what you are actually saying.
