So GlassIce game?

Did this person's account get closed for cheating? If so then why didn't I get my rating points back from this person????

I'm a fellow patzer but spotting cheating is not that difficult when it's obvious.  

There is almost perfect correspondence between GlassIce's moves and the moves suggested by Komodo 8.  I don't know what engine he used, but he definitely used an engine.  

People don't just randomly play 3000+ elo at blitz.

GlassIce did play a game, and earned an 1191 online rating.

You would not have gotten any points back anyway, but it this case, you were fairly beaten.

The obvious blunder on his part is that if he was that good to beat Nakamura, why doesn't he have a GM title before his name?

You can be good in chess and not have any GM norms yet...

right, it wasn't explicitly stated, but he said: "I wasn't actually trying to claim the game as anything other than me joking around." after he was banned for cheating vs GM Nakamura

so to me, when he says "i was joking around" it means "i was using an engine"

No it doesn't. He was joking around, meaning that he plays better than what he did against Nakamura. Nakamura just wasted too much time and was under time pressure, so he lost...

But GlassIce IS banned with a CHEATER BADGE.

Ergo, he used an engine.  In fact, for that game, GlassIce had 0 inaccuracies, 0 mistakes, 0 blunders, and a 5 average centipawn loss ... in a three minute game.

Hahaha.  Anyone who thinks GlassIce WASN'T cheating is a dork.
