“‘Tis all a checker-board of nights and days where Destiny with Men for pieces plays: Hither and thither moves, and mates and slays, and one by one back in the Closet lays.”
The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam

"All the world’s a board
And all the men and women merely pieces:
They have their own positions and their jobs,
And one man in his time may change his fortune
By obtaining promotion."
- William Shakespeare
Want to state to my peers; I hate chess as a game, as a pastime; I forever will and always HATE chess.
H.A.L.P. me see the reason behind, whats the point? to continue this added stress of a game, similiar to monopoly; age of 6?

Just breathe............
don't leave,
stay awhile,
and dream,
of a brighter day,
when you can say
"I love Chess",
'cause I can play!

And then you can lose to better and better players!
thats hilarious :) and right to the point. someone mentioned on here "a kid might laugh if i lose?" so what... u made a kid laugh :) good on you!
Chess, body, and soul is between the law of two antipodes. One is opposed to me losing and the other is opposed to me winning; which bring out the worst in me. :/
The one thing I can do is quit playing, otherwise I need to repent my past behavior and work on building the character necessary to succeed. I want to thank those who were mature enough to bring out the best of a bad situation by their postive responses. I will say, don't take things too personal online. People say things not normally expressed in person. While I'm not condoning bad behavior, it is possible for people to change for the better. It just takes work. Some of us learn the hard way. I want to lead a good life. I don't want guilt hanging over my head. A friend told me once, "how about focus on the positives, and less on the negatives?" With that being said, thank you and have a good night.
I like that one, too! Writing poetry is a way to release pent up feelings, kaynight! BBOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
