Yet somehow lately my OTB blitz has gotten much better.
I recently won a blitz tournament at my club 10-0. Then Friday I beat a 2100 friend of mine in a blitz game.
Then at the Sinquefield Cup after party I played against an Armenian guy named Lev (no, not THAT Armenian guy named Lev!) rated around 1900 and went something like 2-3 against him.
(Side note, had I not been pounding Jaeger bombs and tequila shots I might have done better, lol)
This is telling me that I should play a bit more blitz.
