I wanna see how much time I lose per premove. I'm pretty sure I'm losing more than 0.1 seconds

Can someone play me in 10+0 and make a shuffle move every 3 seconds or so?

I wanna premove the first 100 moves and if I actually lose 0.1 seconds per move then I should have 9:50 left on the clock on move 100

Just play h4 Rh3 Rh2 Rh1 on repeat every few seconds so I'm able to premove 100 moves

I can tell that without tests

Can't you just hang with the other children in OTF?

Nah I'm not going on otf anymore. Most of them can't string 2 sentences together

Premoves take a minimum of 0.1 but can take longer if you're experiencing higher lag to the server over a series of moves. You would need to test with multiple members from around the world to get useful results as well, as that will impact which server you hit.

Yes, sometimes there's lag. I remember pre-moving not too long ago and it took 0.8 seconds for my pre-move to register. It varies.

Hmm I thought it would be better for Canadians because it's closer to USA servers

Sometimes I have no lag at all. Other times, I feel like I'm pre-moving nearly everything and still getting flagged. So ... I believe it changes based on server issues, and not necessarily your ISP.

This is how lichess explains lag

The site uses a different set of servers now, called RCN

So it depends

Lag can have many causes, though most of the time it isn't server side. A server side issue would effect a large number of games at the same time. Often it's going to be resources/traffic on the local client, local network, or one of the connections between the router and the site servers.
