What makes your play OBVIOUSLY better apart from your current bias that draws shouldn't exist?
I make a blunder and lose material... you follow up by making a blunder and allowing the stalemate...
Your idea for removing the draw seems to imply that a player could gain a points advantage and then play to force a draw (which under your new rules of wisdom and logic) would result in a win. I'm not sure that makes sense.
Sure some draws in chess leave you feeling one of the players should have really won. But if you look at the entire game rather than its final piece positions I think you will find that the player with the material advantage ended up not playing obviously better and probably made a few mistakes along the way to let their opponent get that draw (which is mostly a very difficult skillful fight to steal the draw when facing what seems to be obvious defeat)
Sorry really tired... must sleep.
So Marshal_Dillon, I'm sure you would be the one to decide which player gets the win in a drawn game?
The problem with this, besides the fact that it's a horrible idea, is one player may be down in material, but have a far supperior position. So who would win the game there?
I would not be the one to decide. FIDE would by revising the rules of what constitutes a draw.
How can you be down in material and have a superior position in an endgame? the last time I checked a bare king can never have a superior position against anything.
