Something people don't seem to talk about with puzzles

When I get faced with an actually difficult puzzle that has many reasonable (but wrong) answers, I get nothing special for completing it. But when I complete a puzzle that's literally just mate in 1 or a very basic and/or obvious tactic, it gets labeled "Extra Hard" and gives me a bunch of points.

Look at this one I got today:

Why is this considered "extra hard" by the website? It's one of the easiest puzzles I've ever seen! Even if you don't see the forced mate, no one can resist jumping on the opportunity to get a windmill going, seeing as it's still completely winning.

Not only that, they said it was the hardest one I've done in one try so far! How in the world is that the case?

I'm not complaining, I suppose, but sometimes I wonder what is going on with the difficulty evaluation, because this is just odd.

There's only one winning continuation and it begins with Rxg7+, so what were the ideas you had which were "reasonable?" I'm guessing you thought they looked good, but were actually drawn or losing. This is why analyzing your puzzles is important for learning.

Edit. I misunderstood the forum thread; I thought you were claiming another "reasonable" alternative line here.

Okay. Great you found this easy. It means you know this pattern well, but this is a difficult position to solve if someone hasn't seen this checkmate pattern yet.
