Something strange just happened in my last game. I moved my knight back to a space that was protected by my pawn, then somehow my opponent took it in a space where I had not moved it. It was not a mis-click on my part. The knight was clearly on the protect space, but then, all of the sudden it was gone and my opponent’s bishop was in an adjacent space where I could have moved but didn’t.

Are you sure you didn’t click the wrong spot? A review of your game shows you played Nb5 instead of Nc6.
That is the thing that was weird about it. I know the review says that. I have looked at it. But that is not the move I made.
