When I drink beer, I like to yell profanities at the little bus.

I used the wrong word in what I initially wrote.   Instead of "intelligience" I should have said "maturity".    

I doubt you could come up with any "better insults".   The only one who could possibly feel any insult by what you expose about yourself is yourself.  Look back at your self revelations someday.  If you've got any self awareness by then you'll be pretty freaking embarrassed.    I'm getting embarrassed myself just giving you this attention you crave.

I don't crave attention and I'm not immature. As far as you doubting my ability to come up with a better insult, that's quite a joke. I don't need to insult anyone with a 960 blitz rating.

The point of ratings is to judge people. I suppose your rating indicates your intelligence is too low to comprehend pairing numbers and wall charts. Hopefully you have a good friend that can lead you to your seat and tell you what color to play.

My friend, the point of rankings is to judge how well a person is playing chess at that time. My rating indicates I'm just starting out and trying to learn. Let's say I manage to learn something and get it up to, oh, say 1500. Does that mean I'm more intelligent? No, it just means I studied up on chess.

Now I'm going to be your friend and lead you to a little common sense. Don't insult people based on their ratings. In fact, just don't insult people. When you do, it simply shows you're losing the argument so you're throwing a tantrum. Come on, with your rating, you must be smarter than that. :)

The point of ratings is essentially to judge people. That wasn't a joke. The point of ratings was initially to pair people for tournaments, to rank people, to qualify people, etc.; judge them. Don't try to tell me about common sense if you're going to be so stupid.

If you read everything, instead of being superficial and latching on to one quote, you would have noticed in my previous post that I implied low ratings are fine for beginners and novices. An experienced adult with a 1000 rating is most likely stupid. Also, these ratings are a little deflated at chess.com.

Can chess.com just close these posts when they reach the kindergarten level?

No. The point of ratings is to judge playing strength.
Playing a board game better than X amount of people doesn't make you a better person whatsoever nor gives you the right to call them names or insult them.

Do you know who came up with elo ratings? Do you know what his intent was?

When I'm on the mood of guessing people's intelligence (wich is not usual), I focus on the quality of their comments more than in their ratings. There is no prize for guessing who is who in this thread.
