Spirit of playing Honest Chess

Hi I have just rediscovered chess this week after 20-30 years non playing. I began at about 7 years old eventually playing regularly at local club level. I would rank myself now as very slow ( regularly running out of time which is resposible for most of my losses ) mediocre standard however I am working hard to improve. I love the game and I love chess.com.
A question -I notice some opponents regularly disconnect during the game for a short period of time say just under 2 minutes then reconnect before they are defaulted. Happening once I can understand however when they regularly return with a strong move I begin to suspect a chess engine maybe involved.
Has anyone any comments about this please?
Are there any limits to how many times a player can leave and return in a game please?
