I've only had people disconnect in a losing position, and normally at the point the game becomes almost impossible to win.
Sportsmanship - A small idea
Dear friends I think you missed the plot
There can be two situations
Situation 1 : Opponent is losing and he intentionally disconnects here you go on to win
Situation 2: You are losing and Opponent is clearly winning and he disconnects. If you want to take the game for a win take it ,but I think it would be good sportsmanship where you click draw button and the game gets drawn.
The only Moral Problem arising in this situation is the disconnection of opponent in winning position is taken as a consent for draw.
A Draw can occur only when two people agree.
The player who is winning has the OPTION to give a draw or wait for the server to award him full points.
I have a small idea which i believe chess.com could implement.
In some bullet games eventhough opponent is winning for some reason his connection gets disconnected and he has to lose because of it.As a player if i sense that his connection has been disconnected than there should be aprovision to offer draw so that the opponent doesn't lose much points. The onus of offering draw lies solely on the player so if he choose to excercise this power it would be a sportive welcome.
It is my humble idea.
So chess.com would you consider my idea? :)
