Sportsmanship in Chess

This has been discussed (too many time to count)

If you disconnect from the game in a losing position....

If you let your time run out in a loosing position....

Both are poor displays of sportsmanship.

It also shows that you are weak mentality! That your character is suspect.

JUST Resign! (and type GG!)

It's that simple... People will respect that display of Sportsmanship (if they don't... Block that arrogant person... * who is also displaying a sign of poor sportsmanship)

When you disconnect, or let your time run out, you look pathetic.... Do you want to look pathetic?

Cause you do!

On a side note: It always seems to be a certain type. That person plays bodacious, attempting to refute your play on every level, then when the tables get turned.... they disconnect, or let the time run out.

Weak and pathetic.

In a loosing position, good sportsmanship is to play on till all defensive resources are exhausted, then resign. (more specific to my play and view of good sportsmanship is ..... I will play on and let my opponent complete the checkmate if he/she uncorks a mighty tactic that I didn't see.

Chess is sport... how about we act with sportsmanship instead being pathetic and weak minded.

Learn to loose (and WIN!!!!! ) with comportment and tact!
