What does it mean Neo has a 12 volt power system is it corded or battery powered or what are the implications
Square Off - Chess Set

To the two questions above: I don't know. I don't expect that the power system will be much different than the actual one, at it works well.

This just showed up in the comments section and may be of interest:

@GeneralY - We will introduce the carrying case for the board and the box for chess piece storage as accessories in the near future.
Neo will be 1.5X and Swap will be 3X faster than existing Square Off boards.

For Neo, it is mentioned in the kickstarter page that it will be 1.5x faster than existing ones, but I don't see that 3x for Swap. Maybe Neo is guaranteed to be faster for at least 1.5x but that cannot be said for Swap?

Looks like a new update is out today for the boards, my app wants me to apply an update, which says it goes through successfully but immediately wants to apply it again.
I cannot cancel the update so I am stuck unable to use the board since it wants to apply it over and over

@cmdrtango:
Check the comments section. That's where I got the "Copy and Paste".
Of course this may merely be their, as of yet unrealized, goal. We'll just have to wait and see.

#3 - To make the compact NEO more portable, we will have an in-built rechargeable battery which will last up to 10 games if the total pledged amount goes beyond $600,000.
SWAP already has a rechargeable battery built in.

@baronvonchickenpants mine updated today without issue. maybe it's worth deleting and reinstalling from scratch?
Thanks, that's what I did in the end. Still, odd to get stuck like that.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! I hope they reach that goal!!

Anyone noticed the pieces move more sensibly after being taken since the update? Makes a better path to the parking squares

I just posted this in the Neo/Swap comments section.
Please allow me to second Nix's concern that the Swap doesn't have alphanumeric markings. Frankly I delayed backing your project over resentment that in order to get your fastest chessboard, I had to pay for checkers functionality that I neither need nor want. Let's not add insult to injury by leaving off the alphanumeric markings. I suspect that many of your chess playing backers have similar concerns and it may be one of the reasons that the Neo is more popular. Thank you in advance for any reply.
Hello does anyone know how to import games (or positions) into SquareOff (GK)? I can't find a way within the iOS app latest version 3.2.9. Thanks in advance
