When I talked with the founder last (super nice guy) he said this might be happening as soon as next week, but i am sure they want to make sure it passes quality testing before releasing it. Either way it shouldn't be long now. I am stoked. The SQUARE OFF CHESS SET keeps getting better and better. EVERYONE that can afford it should buy it, I need more people to play. One day i would like to see a square off chess tournament. Live stream it & make it FIDE/USCF Rated lol the possibilities are endless

For those poor soles like myself still waiting for a grand kingdom version they have updated the app, you can now chat with your opponent and users who are playing have a red dot so you don't waste time challenging someone who is not available.  Also the grand kingdom now resets the pieces in this update.

Do we have to ask for this update or what? And how does the computer reset the pieces? I just have to put the pieces on the board and the computer does the rest?

By the way, I would like to play against most of you with the SO, but I am not in the beginning of a tournament in Daily, so I not have the time for something else.

To updated my software on my Android Phone I simply went back to the google play store searched for squareoff chess  and downloaded the app again, it updated the app I had on my phone, this is going to be how you get updates in the future you might check your version against the new one listed once in a while . I didn't have a grand kingdom set yet, I ordered in April and inquired last night on what was going on with the original time table on delivery as it was 8 to 12 weeks.  They responded that it is still 8 to 12 weeks.  We must all be patient it is basically like Henry Ford and his first Model A car.  It is something new that will change the world of chess as we know it. But you have to learn to walk so to speak before you have in place a mass production line that is efficient.  When you create something new that doesn't exist you don't exactly go to Fry's electronics for all your parts because they don't exist, same with the software.  

I have noticed that not all the people with green dots seem to be on the squareoff site.  I figured out that if you don't back out of the app with your back button you will still be listed.  I found this out by challenging someone then the 3 minute timer started, I then went directly to my home screen, then google, then chess.com then back to square off the clock was till in countdown mode. I assume that if you don

If you don' use your back button to back out of squareoffs software you will remain listed as a green available player.  This results in you challenging people who are no longer there.  People with red dots are playing but you won't see red dot players unless you have updated your app in the google play store 

The auto reset of the pieces works only with a grand kingdom set and it is in the new update.
