Stafford gambit is terrible. Don't play for tricks at high level
Meanwhile me winning with the Stafford half the time.....

i would like to see bigchessplayer try the stafford gambit against me after i study it a bit and we'll see how many games he could win with it.

I consider the Stafford Gambit to be a RISKY opening.
The Stafford Gambit isn’t really sound, but It is very tricky.
If you don’t know what to do, you can get crushed by Stafford.
It is a high risk, high reward support of line.
I often recommend the Stafford Gambit to Beginners & Intermediate players because most players in those chess ranges don’t study Chess Theory.
You can often get very nice wins against players unaware of the Stafford.
Against Advanced or Higher rated players, the Stafford Gambit often loses really bad.
Stafford Gambit starts to fade away in higher chess tiers.
Some high level players still love Stafford Gambit. They remember the good times when they use to beat players with it. Sometimes, they play it as surprise weapon to see if their opponent knows what to do.

doesnt Eric Rosen sometimes play it?
Yes, He made great video for beginners about it
It’s more of a fun line
