Stage Play’s about chess, help

I’m not sure what this would go under but here’s the jest. 

Im a writer and I’m making a play about two men playing chess where each move brings a flashback about that persons life, ( every loss of a peice is a tragedy for Said character) and by the end of the game we see the men infront pf us as an extension of ourselves. The only problem is, I know I would never be able to map out the actual moves in such a way to keep it in my head correctly for me the write it down, can you help, give me games, I can search up, tactics, even moves that would be good, in such a match up, ( which is about a Military man vs common man)
