How is this a stalemate? The opponent ran out of time, resulting in a stalemate due to white's unavailable pieces.

That's not a stalemate. It's a draw by insufficient material; White cannot possibly checkmate with only a king, so a timeout for Black would be a draw.

It isn't.

You really need to learn what "checkmate", "stalemate" and "draw" means. You can't really play chess without it.
