Standard Time

For all the time I've been playing chess here, the time for standard games has been 30 mins. In my opinion, this is not nearly enough time for what is considered a standard game. In fact, 30 mins is actually speed chess. Standard chess has much longer time controls. 

I want to start playing chess at longer time controls, though I'm not sure exactly what they should be. Someone once said that 90 mins plus a 15 second bonus per move is a good time setting. Why is this not being done here? A player's "standard" rating on chess.com is not really an accurate measure of their real rating. I think the time settings need to change.
