Startling Relevations

Well, I recently happened to visit my friends house..he was playing chess on Chess.com, alright.Good.What I saw next was, well, startling.He had chessbase on and an engine loaded into it......well, he won.

     I asked him for how long he had been doing it.He replied"Many days.Easy way to get rating points." And like a clever thief....he sometimes uses online analyzer....sometimes offline....I saw it myself or else I wouldn't have believed.

After that incident, I lost trust.When opponent(under raterd) wins against you using a chess engine(You don't know that) isn't your faith in yourself undernmined?..Awaiting reply.

Well.... I guess in that situation your opponent really is smarter than you technically lol

It happens quite a lot.  You just have to move on, or friend people who  clearly are not cheating and play them when you can.  Annoying though.

Those that use those methods to win on this site deceive themselves, which is the worst form of deception. They lack personal playing skill in the game and seek to artificially inflate their ego. The use of those methods is disrespectful to everyone they play, unethical, and dishonest. They should be ashamed.

Straddling revolutions.

This is unfortunately pretty common. As suggested, you can try to avoid it by playing with friends.

Another option, is to play on servers that have stronger anti-cheating policies than chess.com like ICC or FIDE Online Arena (but you need a paying subscribtion in both cases).
