games that are aborted maybe?
There's no evidence that those count in any of the totals.
Wins and losses can occur due to abandonment. Draws can occur due to insufficient material.
I checked my own stats over the last 7 days and my draws and losses add up perfectly. My wins don't but I did have one opponent who abandoned a match.

I don't understand how 10% of my wins could be by "abandonment", which is somehow different from timing out or resigning. And maybe one or two of my draws has been due to "insufficient material".
I don't think this explains it.
Yeah. I checked your Rapid stats over the last 7 days and they add up perfectly. If you don't mind the rating loss, you could try abandoning a match just to prove it to yourself.
I'm not even sure what you mean by "abandoning". If I disconnect, won't my clock just run down until I time out?
Nope. If you're not connected for a certain period, you abandon the match to prevent your opponent having to wait for the full duration of your remaining time. If you are connected then then you can make use of your remaining time however you choose.
It looks like you got disconnected in about 2% of your matches which sounds about right. Your opponent disconnected in about 5% of your matches. That sounds about right too. There are a percentage of players who prefer to abandon than resign.
Draws occur in the fourth way, timeout versus insufficient material. They're quite uncommon, but the 13.4% gap in your stats sounds about right also.
OK.....maybe you're right and that would explain it. I never disconnect intentionally, but I've been disconnected a few times and have taken losses as a result. I didn't even know I was disconnected at the time, and just watched my opponent's clock run to 0:00 expecting to win....but I lost. I've reported those, and chess.com was kind enough to restore my lost points.
Not only don't I abandon, but it's my preference to resign when I feel my opponent has a "won" game, rather than draw it out hoping for a miracle.
Anyway, I'll assume you're right rather than inconvenience someone with an abandoned game and take an unnecessary loss. I take plenty of the real kind.
