...and, still refreshing endlessly 8 hours later ;).
Staying on the ball

I'm not getting the endless refresh now, though I remember it from earlier. Comments are still nonexistent in the game against GM Williams 24 hours on--and however many hours since the problem first appeared. I wish they'd hold a move and suspend the game until they fix the problem.
I remember in the first game (against IM Rensch), a member of staff commented after someone had posted code to break the board and comments, and despite surely having seen it, It was, what, 14 hours until the comment was removed? And so many times, the comments of those trying to bump the bad code to the second page were deleted before the bad code itself was. Given that precedent, this is unfortunately not surprising. Disappointing, but not surprising.

The new move for the GM Simon game is still messing up. When the team votechess page comes up it does not endlessly refresh...you can submit a vote, or try to post a comment. However, posting comments does not actually work (no result), so...all you can do is vote.
Once you vote, the votechess page will then refresh endlessly if you stay on it or return to it later, so nobody can post comments (before or after voting), and nobody could read them even if they were posted.
This is now 2 votes from the GM Williams game and 1 vote for the IM Bartholomew game that have done this...so, 48 hrs minimum that this problem has been going on now.
Both these games are completely compromised at this point :/.

Ugh, yeah, I see what you mean; I hadn't voted yet, but I just did and it's doing that all over again. And agreed; they ought to have held a move and suspended the game,s but they didn't (despite having 24 hours for an arbiter to act), but at this point it's going to be unfair to a lot of people no natter what happens, so it's irreparably tarnished. It's a crying shame.

Looks like this might have been fixed finally :), though there's no addressing of the moves already affected...
Hello, Chess.com...
Did you know your GM and IM vs. the world games are fubared and have been for several days now? Did you know that every time it's the "world" teams' turn to move that the votechess page (in V2 at least, can't say for V3) goes into some endless refresh nightmare, and that nobody can read or post comments?
Did you know that this caused the team playing against IM Bartholomew to play a move that the team did not actually want to play, and that it seriously derailed the game?
I guess the biggest question is: how do you not know this stuff is going on when it happens? It's a game with a member of staff involved...
You might wonder why I am posting this here instead of Help and Support. Well, because Help and Support topics receive notoriously little attention. You might wonder why people aren't submitting tickets. But the team has been notified and been linked to the ticket submission page, and in theory at least, there ought to be some tickets ;)...
This is not some isolated incident...last game against IM Danny Rensch, there were spammers using a cut-and-paste HTML bug to screw up the votechess pages as well, and those were difficult to get cleaned up.
These are games that are, in theory, created to promote votechess and Chess.com as a whole. Dropping the ball like this is counter-productive in this regard...
