Stockfish 17 on Mac not loading PGN files

My version of Stockfish has just automatically updated from 16.1 to 17.  Now I can't load stored PGN files created om previous Stockfish versions.  I can't even load a PGN file back to V17 that I just saved in V17.  Can anyone help please?

I have posted the problem on GitHub ( the development site for Stockfish) under the Issues heading. So far I have heard nothing from them.
