Stockfish Evaluation guide

I noticed several posts that people say engine evaluation like +2.00 is nothing. Statistically +2.00 in opening means one side is about 90% of winning. (endgame evaluation with +2.00 and flat will mean nothing and likely draw though). It is understandable that people cant follow what stockfish think , that is millions of postition per seconds.

However, these are tools that you can use to visualize stockfish evaluation.

Here is position of stockfish evaluation

SF see likely forced win from white, at depth 48. SF recommendation is Bc6 to save bishop and win the game, But if OP play Ba6, SF is happy to trade down that bishop with kt and can make a draw for white.

Conclusion, Bishop is more valuable in that position and black will likely win by saving bishop with Bc6.

It is impossible for people to visualize what engines are thinking, so we usually do additional variation board on right side (by right click on the borad, and open the view)

In additional visualization window, people can see how stockfish think move by move.

Stockfish evaluation always come from the end of prinicpal variation, so go to the end of principal variation and you will see which position SF is evaluation as +2.13(for example)

And again, if you still dont understand what +2.13 means? you can copy and paste that PGN into stockfish static evaluation here, like that. There you can see, every thread, mobility etc that should explain every single detail of  what +0.01 means.
