I find that no matter what i do, or pieces i move, my queen vanishes fairly early on.
Strange Happenings ?!

Anyone had the experience of pieces moving to places you did not want to put them ?
In the following game on move 24 I moved my rook from e2 to e3 and it ended up on e2 ?!

The worst one was on move when I wanted to play r-h5 on move 29, instead it moved to g5 and of course was promptly taken.
The game is also not listed ( as of writing) in my games, but it is in that of my opponents ?!
Ghosties in the machine ??
No there were no finger slips !!
The only thing I did notice was a disconnection about the time I picked up the rook from f5 to move it to h5
If you think about it, when you were moving your rook from f5 to h5 and you disconnected somewhere in the process, can you blame the computer for thinking that you ended up on g5? That was where your rook was the last time it knew.
Get a better connection. There are no ghosts in the machine.

The game is not listed on here, the one I won was , but not my loss ?!
Look again.

Thanks not mtwain, but the fact that the game is registered on my opponents games, but not mine ?
That cannot be due to any connection problems can it ?
I hear what you say, but there was something amiss here ?!
Certainly my opponent was not to blame !!
C'est la vie I guess
Unless of course there is a glitch somewhere which might affect others ?!

Yes I just did, you are right, it is there now !
Maybe 30 minutes after the game finished and the same amount of time after the game was displayed on my opponents list of games ?!

You are of course correct it seems, after outplaying my opponent here for 35 moves, connection goes and leaves me with virtually no time, so I blows it.

All that hard work for nowt lol.
A little red bar means bad conection ?
Very frustrating.
Any tips for improving the connection ?
Different provider, different router, better laptop ?
At the moment it will have to be a tranquiliser lol

Maybe call in an IT professional, get charged 200 quid and he (or she because I'm not prejudiced) will tell you to turn it off and on again

Done that, I had to in that last game, about 3 times hence the time loss.
What can I say but
"aaaaarrrrrrrrrrggggggggghhhhhh"

Yeah, this is one of the reasons I stopped playing shorter games, ahem long ago in the distant past.
Unless Ican solve this connection problem might have to do it again.
Supposedly the best broadband provider, super new hub, must be because I keep headbutting my laptop ?!
Could be head trauma then ?

Yeah, I give in, just lost a 5 minute game, same bleedin thing happened, just as I got back in the game.
I keep getting a black screen on the laptop, then it comes back disconnected, can't keep on like this
